The first half of July was moist, with just enough water
for migratory fish to start moving and the figures for Salmon caught reflect
this.
The Brown Trout fishing held up quite well although the first half of the month was quite cool and windy which again was reflected in the catch return. Brown Trout in the book for the month were 1620 with the pick of the catch being 3 fish for 4.75lb to Richard Franklin. 1@ 2.5lb to David Morgan. 1@ 2.5lb to W.Lindsay. Sea Trout and Finnock totalled 44 with the best at 2.5lb to the Bourne Anderson party.
