Very dry start to the month, then some rain came later in the second week which gave a lift in river levels and freshened up the Lochs.
 
2004 Brown Trout were entered into the Scourie Hotel fishing log. The best being 3.5lb to Tim Howse.
 
174 Seatrout/Finnock were booked the best being 3lb.
The quality of Seatrout this season is good with plump fish and no fin damage.
 
14 Salmon/Grilse were caught with 10 being returned, the average weight was 6.1lb.

Can I remind all that the fishing log covering 1956 to 1972 was stolen 5 years or so ago and has not re-appeared. If anyone comes across this brown bound book with a faded Scourie Hotel in gold leaf on the front about 10"by 12" and about 2" thick at an auction/shop/boot sale ect I would be most grateful if you let me know.
