Rocky Point On Loch Stack

September unusually has been a very dry month with the middle two weeks getting no rain worthy of note.

Brown Trout fishing has been fairly good with 456 fish caught during the month.

Seatrout have fared well with a total of 87 coming off our fishing's:-  62 coming off Loch Stack and More best 3lb and 2lb 8oz to Bob Menzies on 29/9.   17 came off a local river plus a 2lb 8oz brown trout to Bob Menzies. 8 came off the Polla best being 4lb 12oz.

Salmon were like the curates egg - good in parts.

Loch Stack produced one of 8lb 5oz to Stuart Hopper but otherwise fishing was difficult.

A local river, when it was blessed with water, fished well with 12 salmon caught and most returned.

The River Polla has been fishing well with 8 seatrout to our rods and that from only five days on the river.   The best fish was 4lb 12oz and all these from low water conditions.  It makes your mouth water for good water conditions!

Tight lines

Patrick
